Summary: In my research, I am focusing on the coastal wetland areas of the Yangtze Estuary. The main objective of my study is to investigate whether past conservation projects have been able to offset the negative impacts of invasive species and reclamation projects on native plant species and habitats in the Yangtze Estuary. Through an examination of the effectiveness of China's wetland conservation policies in reducing threats and restoring habitats, my project aims to explore more suitable and valuable restoration sites choosing and more effective conservation strategies in this region. As the Chinese government is currently investing significant financial and resource resources into coastal wetland restoration, our research may identify more efficient methods, providing strong scientific evidence for wetland conservation and restoration efforts in this region, and promoting sustainable development of the ecological environment and rational utilisation of resources.
