Exploring the Impact of land systems on ecosystem services supply and demand: from the perspective of social-ecological system
Summary:
I attempt to analyze the main influencing factors on ecosystem services from a social-ecological system perspective and to reconcile the declining supply of ecosystem services with the dramatic increase in human demand for them through a coupled social-ecological approach, thereby promoting sustainable regional development. Specifically, I use the quantitative approaches to account for regional supply and demand of ecosystem services and identify the main issues in regional supply and demand relationships; systematically analysze the influence of stakeholders, policy managers and natural resource characteristics on supply and demand based on the social-ecological framework; and finally propose appropriate management measures and enhancement pathways for different regions.
